A proposal for providing chilled potable water has been put forth by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board Managing director B Janardhan Reddy. The water board chief held a review meet with officials on Monday where they were directed to work on the proposal of installing water ATMs wherein the public can avail a litre of chilled water for Re 1.
The water will be reportedly sold through kiosks in Hyderabad and the model would be similar to that of cash dispensing automated teller machines (ATMs) of banks.
