Chiranjeevi clarifies on rumours of him joining BJP

Former union minister and Congress Raya Sabha member Chiranjeevi slammed the rumours of him joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Addressing the media at Film Nagar in Hyderabad, the Congress leader called the rumours, baseless and clarified that he would be continuing in the Congress party only.

Owing to the party defections taking place in the Telugu states recently, various reports surfaced that Chiranjeevi is in talks with the BJP leaders and would be making a switch to the party from Congress. However, Chiranjeevi declared that he is a Congressman till the end of his political journey and asked to stop speculating on his party-changing-plans.
