Hyderabad: Consequent to the report ‘Fake applicant gets TSMFC loan’ published in these columns on Thursday, TS Minorities Finance Corporation (TSMFC) clarified that the applicants in question had entered wrong Aadhar number, but enclosed his own Aadhar card, which was genuine.

Officials of the corporation said Syed Gouse Pasha, a resident of Musheerabad, had applied for a loan under the self-employment scheme of TSMFC in 2013-14. The applicant was referred to Andhra Bank, Ramnagar branch, and was given a loan of Rs 2 lakh, out of which Rs 1 lakh was the subsidy, and it was released after one year.

“The applicant in his application entered the number of his Aadhar card wrong, but enclosed the correct Aadhar card which is on his name,” said V Sapthagiri, Executive Director, TSMFC. The official claimed that during verification both at the branch office and Andhra Bank, Ramnagar, it was ascertained that the copy of Aadhar card enclosed with the application was found to be genuine,
