Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is all set to sign a formal agreement along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday for the sharing of Godavari waters and construction of five barrages Medigadda, Tummidihetti on Pranahita, Chanakha-Korata on Penganga, Pinpahad and Rajapeta on the river benefiting both the states.

Calling the pact a historical moment, KCR apprised his cabinet colleagues on the pact with the Maharashtra government at the state cabinet meet on Sunday stating that the long-pending dispute over sharing of Godavari waters will be over. Appreciating the move that a state is willing to construct barrages for the benefit of another state, the Chief Minister stated that Telangana was going to become an example for all the states in the country and advised the ministers to spread the word among people about the importance of the development.
