Continuing its winning streak, the ruling TRS made a clean sweep by bagging all 20 wards in the Achampet Nagar Panchayat elections in Mahabubnagar district.
Continuing its winning streak, the ruling TRS made a clean sweep by bagging all 20 wards in the Achampet Nagar Panchayat elections in Mahabubnagar district. The election that was held on March 6 had counting of votes on Wednesday. Withing few minutes of counting, the voting witnessed a clear result as not even a single seat went to the Grand Alliance under which all the opposition parties including Congress, TDP, BJP and Communist parties contested against TRS.
The campaigning witnessed heavy participation from Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao, Laxma Reddy and TRS MLAs where they assured that the Telangana government's social welfare schemes will reach the weaker sections of the society. Now, TRS will elect one of its elected ward members as the municipal chairman.
