In a major setback to Telangana Telugu Desam Party, Telangana Assembly speaker on Thursday honoured the letter of former TDLP leader E Dayakar Rao by considering 12 TDP MLAs as TRS members. Telangana state legislature secretary S Raja Sadaram released a bulletin No. 5, which mentions the merger of these 12 TDP MLAs into TRS. The bulletin says, 

Hyderabad: In a major setback to Telangana Telugu Desam Party, Telangana Assembly speaker on Thursday honoured the letter of former TDLP leader E Dayakar Rao by considering 12 TDP MLAs as TRS members. Telangana state legislature secretary S Raja Sadaram released a bulletin No. 5, which mentions the merger of these 12 TDP MLAs into TRS. The bulletin says,


"All members are informed that 12 members of Telugu Desam Legislature Party -- Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, G Sayanna, T Prakash Goud, Teegala Krishna Reddy, Manchireddy Kishan Reddy, Madhavaram Krishna Rao, K P Vivekanand, Challa Dharma Reddy, S Rajender Reddy, Maganti Gopinadh and Arikepudi Gandhi have submitted a letter to the Speaker stating that they have merged with TRSLP."

The bulletin says, “They (TDP members) have stated that the said 12 members constitute more than two-thirds of TDLP and requested to take appropriate action in the matter. The honourable speaker has taken note of the same and allotted seats to them along with members of TRSLP in the House.”

With this merger, the TDP now is left with only three MLAs, including A Revanth Reddy, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and R Krishnaiah. The TDP earlier had 15 members in the Assembly.
