Chief Minister on Tuesday directed the officials to take the responsibility of making two budding chess players from Ranga Reddy district as Grand Masters by providing international level training. Nandita and Varshita, the sisters who have been winning in various national and international competitions met the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao along with their parents here on Tuesday.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister on Tuesday directed the officials to take the responsibility of making two budding chess players from Ranga Reddy district as Grand Masters by providing international level training. Nandita and Varshita, the sisters who have been winning in various national and international competitions met the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao along with their parents here on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister gave them Rs 5 lakh each for their training and announced further support. Chief Minister also announced to provide help to a couple from Warangal, who held world record in Karate training. The couple Ravi and Lakshmi had recently conducted training program for 2,000 women at a time, which was a world record of sorts.

The couple has been training the She Teams also. The Chief Minister complemented their efforts.The SC Development Director M V Reddy was also present at the occasion.
