Congress pats newly elected corporators
The district Congress leadership felicitated the newly-elected party corporators at the Congress Bhavan in Hanamkonda on Wednesday. The corporators - J Rama Yadav of 52 division, L Mounika Reddy of 53 division and T Raju Yadav of 33 division - were honoured by party district president N Rajender Reddy.

Speaking on the occasion, he thanked them for being with the party even as senior leaders left the party.
“You supported the party during hard times and won the election facing the TRS wave. I congratulate you. The party would accord great priority to you,” he said adding that in future they would be given opportunities to grow further in their political careers. He asked the party cadre and leaders to move forward with the same zeal to face 2019 elections and to make the party leader Rahul Gandhi the Prime of Minister of India. The TRS leadership was deceiving the public with jugglery of words, he said.
The ruling party was trying to suppress the voice of the Opposition. It was plotting to eliminate the Opposition so that none could question the government and as part of it the Opposition leaders were being lured into the TRS, he alleged. “The Congress workers should stand united and fight against the misrule of the TRS at grassroots level,” he added.
Former MLA K Sridhar, TPCC disciplinary committee chairman B Prakash, Parkal constituency in-charge E Venkatram Reddy, TPCC secretaries EV Srinivas Rao, B Srinivas Rao, K Srinivas Rao, R Srihari, Greater Warangal Mahila Congress president P Padma and 41 contested candidates were present.
