Legal awareness workshop on women laws inaugurated
Telangana State Commission for Women Chairperson Tripurana Venkataratnam has on Wednesday inaugurated a two-day legal awareness workshop on women laws in Hanamkonda. Addressing the gathering, she stressed on the need that everyone should strive to build violence free society for women. The atrocities against women would come down only when the mindset of men towards women was changed.

The awareness programme was organised to educate self-help group leaders and anganwadi supervisors on women laws. Those who were trained at the workshop would in turn educate self-help group members and anganwadi workers at grassroots level, she added. Joint Collector Prashanth J Patil, DRDA Project Director Venkateshwarlu, its legal cell official Nalini Narayan and others were present.
