The five-day Civil Aviation Show concluded here on Sunday.  The event was inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee. The show was intended to stimulate momentum for growth of Indian Aviation Industry.

Hyderabad: The five-day Civil Aviation Show concluded here on Sunday. The event was inaugurated by President Pranab Mukherjee. The show was intended to stimulate momentum for growth of Indian Aviation Industry. The international exhibition and conference on Civil Aviation was jointly organised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) to provide aviation and allied industries an opportunity to showcase their products/ services and deliberate upon the strategies.

The event also served a purpose in demonstrating and educating the public at large on the latest aerospace technology available globally. Well over 5,000 aviation and aerospace experts, including manufacturers, maintenance and repair service providers, airport operators, airlines, technology service providers, investors, financial institutions, market experts, etc from across the world participated in the event.

The show put Hyderabad on an aerospace and aviation map in the world. Several MoUs were signed during the show. They included agreement between the government and Aero Campus Aquitaine of Bordeaux Metropole of France to set up India's first Training Center for Skill Development in Aerospace industry.
