With the ongoing protests against the Vice-Chancellor of University of Hyderabad (UoH) Appa Rao resuming office, students are not willing to accept the appointment as they hold him responsible for the crisis on the campus and for the suicide of Phd research student Rohith Vemula.

Addressing the issue on Thursday, Senior Congress leader V Hanumanth Rao questioned the appointment when the single man committee did not submit the report on the incidents at the university. Bringing the focus on students who were cooking under trees and deploring their plight, the Congress leader also condemned Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for neglecting the issues of the students particularly after coming to power on the strength of students' agitations.
