Information Technology and Panchayat Raj Minister K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) informed that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has sanctioned 1,500 double bedroom houses to handloom workers and poor people of Sircilla town. He held a review meeting with Sircilla Municipal authorities at IKP Bhavan here on Friday. 

Karimnagar: Information Technology and Panchayat Raj Minister K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) informed that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has sanctioned 1,500 double bedroom houses to handloom workers and poor people of Sircilla town. He held a review meeting with Sircilla Municipal authorities at IKP Bhavan here on Friday.

Later speaking to reporters, KTR said it was necessary to develop tanks, parks and take-up road widening works for the growth of the town and sought the cooperation from the people. The foundation stones for Rs 30 crore worth ring road work, international driving school and police battalion would be laid in the third week of April.

Talking about drinking water scarcity in the town, the Minister informed that they have decided to hire additional tankers to quench the thirst of the people and also considering to take up repair works of old wells. New vehicles would be provided to collect garbage and maintain sanitation.

He advised the counsellors to spend at least half-an-hour with the people of their respected wards to get first hand information about their problems and asked them to forward group photographs to him through What’s App. Informing that Rs 2 crore tax amount was pending, KTR asked the people to pay clear pending taxes and make way for the development of the town. Earlier, KTR e examined land for the construction of Haritha Hotel at bypass road.
