Tension prevails at university as Radhika Vemula swoons

Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at the University of Hyderabad on Saturday when deceased research scholar Rohith Vemula’s mother Radhika tried to force her way into the university. When she was prevented by the security personnel at the main gate, she fell down unconscious amidst heated arguments between the students and the security personnel. Radhika was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, PDSU activists staged a dharna for sometime demanding immediate arrest of vice-chancellor P Appa Rao. They shouted slogans against the Union government.
