Mahabubabad (Warangal): A warden and 12 others serving in the Tribal Girls’ Welfare Residential School at Mutyalammagudem in Mahabubabad Mandal were suspended from services on Monday for their alleged negligence of duties. District Collector V Karuna directed Mahabubabad RDO Bhasker Rao to issue orders suspending the warden, Veeru Naik and 12 others. During a surprise visit to the school, she found that the hostel was poorly maintained.

The dormitories and the kitchen were found unclean and the quality of food was poor. Stray dogs were found moving inside the residential school. It was said that during an earlier visit, the Collector has warned the warden, Veeru Naik and the staff to maintain the hostel in good condition, but they remained completely indifferent. The Collector directed the local Tahsildar to submit a detailed report on the conditions prevailing at the school.
