Telangana State government distributes land to scheduled caste
The TS government would sanction three acres of land to scheduled caste people who do not have land. under the land purchase scheme, said State Schedule Caste Corporation Chairman Pidamarti Ravi here on Monday. He held meeting with various department officials to review the implementation of various schemes for the SCs in the district and later, conducted a press conference.
Nizamabad: The Telangana State government would sanction three acres of land to scheduled caste people who do not have land. under the land purchase scheme, said State Schedule Caste Corporation Chairman Pidamarti Ravi here on Monday. He held meeting with various department officials to review the implementation of various schemes for the SCs in the district and later, conducted a press conference. with the Additional Joint Collector Rajaram.
Addressing the media, Ravi said that Telangana government wanted to distribute 1000 acres per year, in each district for the land less SC labourers, under the prestigious land distribution scheme. In Nizamabad district till now, 788 acres land distributed, with 21.65 cores and it is more than this year’s target, he added.
The SC Corpration Chairman said that Nizamabad district was in situated near the basin of River Godavari and due to this reason land rates were much more than other districts, he requested the District MLA’s and Public representatives to take measures to provide land for this scheme.
Under the Economic Support Scheme, 1800 members were provided with loans at acost of 21.65 crore in Nizamabad district and another 500 members would be provided soon, Pidamarti added.
