Hyderabad: Terming the decision of the government to proceed with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's audio-visual presentation in Legislative Assembly as against the standards and traditions of parliamentary practices, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) has decided to boycott the presentation on Thursday.

In a letter submitted to Assembly Speaker S Madhusudhanachary, the CLP leaders felt that there was no precedent in Parliament or in any Assembly in the country wherein a debate has been initiated on the basis of audio-visual presentation.

Moreover, the leaders found that there was no precedent where someone has made an audio-visual presentation in the Legislative Assembly. “This is unhealthy precedent and is against parliamentary practices,” CLP stated in its letter. They asked the Chief Minister to consider a better option, either the Committee Hall in Assembly or Secretariat or at some other place.
