Telangana Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav addressed a press conference immediately after reports surfaced that Araku MP Kothapalli Geetha's husband Ramakoteswara Rao had been kidnapped by his son Sai Yadav and had forcibly taken some land documents from him on Wednesday.

Speaking to the media, Talasani said that Ramakoteswara Rao had taken a loan from his family in 2011 of Rs 11 crore and assured that they only wanted the repayment of the loan amount with interest. Elaborating further, the Minister said that the MP's husband had cleared Rs 5 crore and had to pay the remaining amount and added that Ramakoteswara Rao had offered to pledge 5 acres of his lands and gave the documents.

Talasani said that the entire story was not revealed to the media as the Aruku MP's husband did not explain why he parted with the land documents to his son and also that he had taken a loan from his family. The Minister further explained that the CCTV footage from the Taj Krishna Hotel where all of them met clearly shows them in a cheerful mood which indicates it is not a kidnap.
