Hyderabad University students on Friday staged a protest in front of the Administrative block against the university management demanding the removal of Vice-Chancellor Appa Rao.

Raising slogans as 'Rohit Amar Rahe', the Student Unions condemned the lathicharge on professors, students by the police and are demanding egal action against those responsible for the same. The Union leaders demanded the release of the students and professors arrested along with the removal of the Vice Chancellor from the office.
Recently, the Court had granted Bail to 36 Students and 3 professors who were arrested in the HCU campus for staging a protest against Vice-Chancellor Appa Rao. Earlier, the students even sought President Pranab Mukherjee’s immediate intervention to resolve the issues and ensure sacking of vice-chancellor.
