Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Rammohan on Sunday said the government was firm on making Hyderabad “a clean and green city.” The Mayor along with Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy attended a cycling competition held for students of several engineering colleges. 

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Rammohan on Sunday said the government was firm on making Hyderabad “a clean and green city.” The Mayor along with Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy attended a cycling competition held for students of several engineering colleges.

The 5K and 10 K run and cycling competition were held with an aim to promote “Sagar Bachao - Beti Bachavo - Beti Padao” and also “No Drunk No drive” at Necklace Road on Sunday. The mayor flagged off the 5K and 10K Run and the deputy speaker Reddy flagged off the cycling competition.

Speaking at the event, the Mayor said that TRS government was striving hard to transform Hyderabad.“Massive steps are being taken to make Hyderabad a clean city. It has been ranked 19th among the developed cities in the country and our efforts will make it stand in first place,” he said. The mayor appreciated students for taking part in awareness programs and also called upon NGOs to come forward and take part in awareness programmes.
