Hyderabad: The Balala Hakkula Sangham has demanded stern action against Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Langar House, principal for demanding fee from a below poverty child and discriminating student on caste.
Balala Hakkula Sangham President Anuradha said they had received a complaint from a person Balraj Hatkar saying that his son Pariket Hatkar of class VI was asked to pay tuition fee even though they belonged to SC Community and came under BPL category.
He further alleged that the principal Prasanna was demanding fee and threatened to issue Transfer Certificate if fee was not paid. “The principal also insulted the student and parents taking the caste name,” alleged the parent in his complaint. Considering the issue, Anuradha took up the issue with Hyderabad District Collector and higher authorities of Kendriya Vidyalaya for action against the principal for discriminating the child on caste basis and for violating Right to Education Act.
