China co Gezhoba to invest in Telangana water projects
Noted Chinese construction company – Gezhoba -- has come forward to invest and join as partner in the construction of irrigation projects for which the Telangana government had earmarked Rs 25,000 crore in the budget 2016-17.
Hyderabad: Noted Chinese construction company – Gezhoba -- has come forward to invest and join as partner in the construction of irrigation projects for which the Telangana government had earmarked Rs 25,000 crore in the budget 2016-17.
A delegation, led by company chief representative Huang Wanlin, called on Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at the latter’s camp office on Friday and explained the expertise the company has in constructing projects in China. The officials informed the Chief Minister that the company had played a key role in the construction of world famous Three Gorges dam on the Yangtze river.
KCR explained to the delegation about the progress in the works at Kaleswaram and Seetarama projects on the river Godavari. The delegation was also briefed about the road development and other infrastructure projects initiated by the TRS government. Another meeting would soon be held between the government and Gezhoba to finalise the modalities of investments and the projects they would take up in the state.
