Nalgonda Municipal Chairperson joins TRS
The Nalgonda Municipal Chairperson Boddupalli Lakshmi and her husband, B Srinivas have joined the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Saturday. With the help of family friend and Tungaturthi MLA Gadari Kishore, the couple met the district Minister, G Jagadish Reddy at his residence in Hyderabad on Saturday morning and expressed their willingness to join the party.
Nalgonda: The Nalgonda Municipal Chairperson Boddupalli Lakshmi and her husband, B Srinivas have joined the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Saturday. With the help of family friend and Tungaturthi MLA Gadari Kishore, the couple met the district Minister, G Jagadish Reddy at his residence in Hyderabad on Saturday morning and expressed their willingness to join the party.
The Minister invited them into the party by honoring them with party scarf and assured her of his cooperation for the development of Nalgonda Municipality. Later, Minster Jagadish Reddy introduced the couple to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Lakshmi presented a bouquet to the CM and requested his unconditional support for Nalgonda town development and also for her political future.
KCR congratulated Lakshmi for her decision and assured of sanctioning required funds for the development of Nalgonda Municipality. Meanwhile, the Congress leaders, who were shocked with the Chairperson’s political step, cried foul and described it as a grave act of betrayal of trust at a press meet held here in the evening.
It could be said that district Minister Jagadish Reddy was successful in making Bhongir, Suryapet, Nalgonda, Kodad and Nagara Panchayats Huzurnagar and Devarakonda to join the TRS account, except Miryalaguda Municipality.
