Fire Service Week-2016 begins at NTPC
NTPC-Ramagundam CISF Fire Wing observed Fire Service day on Thursday, followed by Fire Service Week till April 20. At a programme held at the fire station main plant, Chief Guest Prasant Kumar Mohapatra, ED-Ramagundam paid homage to the martyrs, who laid down their lives for the cause of safety.

At a programme held at the fire station main plant, Chief Guest Prasant Kumar Mohapatra, ED-Ramagundam paid homage to the martyrs, who laid down their lives for the cause of safety.

Later, he officially announced the opening of observance of Fire Service Week. Senior officials from NTPC and CISF also paid homage to the martyrs. Speaking on the occasion, Mohapatra appreciated CISF, particularly the Fire Wing for their excellent service throughout the year at NTPC-Ramagundam. During this occasion, the Chief Guest, along with others, released a fire prevention booklet.
Earlier, Ram Kuber, GM (O&M) administered the Fire Service Week pledge to all. CISF Commandant Vijay Kumar and other officials from CISF and NTPC were also present on the occasion. This year the theme for Fire Service Week is: ‘Prevent Fire Accident – Promote Nation's development’.
To create awareness among all on fire hazards, fire prevention, fire safety, CISF Fire Wing is organising first aid fire-fighting lecture, essay competition, drill, demo, quiz, drawing etc during this week-long programme.
