On the occasion, thousands of devotees thronged the temples from the early hours and offered special prayers.
Vedic priests conducted the wedding amid chanting of hymns in the villages of Birkur, Ruthunagar, Kistapur, Timmapur, Damarancha and Barangedigi. Later, prasadam was distributed to the devotees. Sitaramama Kalyanam was also celebrated in the Vishweshwaraswamy temple in Sadashivnagar mandal and Shivarama tempole in Domakonda.
