Focus on increasing revenue: GHMC chief
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has decided to enhance its revenue collections for the financial year 2016-17. GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy on Saturday held a review meeting with officials and directed them to focus their attention on increasing the revenue. He stressed the need to make the Hyderabad city a world class city.

He stressed the need to make the Hyderabad city a world class city.
Interacting with officials, the GHMC Commissioner said the civic body required greater amount of revenue in order to take forward the ambitious projects like Strategic Road Development Project (SRDP0. Janardhan Reddy also said that the civic body was also planning to construct multilevel parking, model markets, parks and play grounds.
Keeping in view of the expenses, the Commissioner asked the officials to concentrate more on revenue generation through property tax and trade license. He stressed the need to bring properties which remained unassessed under tax net.
