Nalgonda: ‘Announcing the list of drought-hit mandals and taking rest in farm house is not a solution to the burning problem,’ stated CPM state secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram. He came down heavily on the government for its apathy to solve the ever increasing drought conditions in the State.
On Monday he inaugurated the drought tour of party district unit leaders at Indugula of Tipparthi mandal. After examining the dried-up crops, fruit gardens and interacting with local farmers. Later speaking to the media, Tammineni criticised that the Opposition leaders were not rising their voice as they all got contract works from Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
The CPM, even though don’t have a single seat either in Assembly or Council, will fight for the public, he said and demanded help from the government on war footing basis to rescue the farmers both in the district and in the State.
