Khammam: The Telangana State is surpassing other states in the country in terms of growth, Minister for Roads and Buildings Tummala Nageswar Rao said.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, he said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was taking Telangana on the path of development.
“NITI Ayog Vice-Chairman Arvind Panagariya, who appreciated Mission Kakatiya and Mission Bhagiratha, the two flagship programmes of the Telangana government, has advised other States to replicate,” Rao said, referring to the all round praise the TRS government was receiving.
He sought the support of all people’s representatives and officials of various departments in realizing the dream of Bangaru Telangana.
Referring to the Sitarama Project and Bhakta Ramadasu Lift scheme, the Minister said that tenders process will be completed by the end of April or May first week. He expressed hope that the works of Palair and Wyra under Mission Bhagiratha will be completed by the end of the current year. Zilla Parishad Chairperson G Kavitha and Aswaraopet MLA T Venkateswarlu were present. Earlier, the Minister inspected tank restoration works of Pedda cheruvu at Duddepudi and Lingagudem tank at Kandukuru under Vemsoor mandal.
