Suspension bridge over Durgam Cheruvu soon
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K Taraka Rama Rao on Saturday announced that a four-lane suspension bridge from Road number 45 Jubilee Hills to Inorbit Mall would be constructed over Durgam Cheruvu.
Hyderabad: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K Taraka Rama Rao on Saturday announced that a four-lane suspension bridge from Road number 45 Jubilee Hills to Inorbit Mall would be constructed over Durgam Cheruvu.
Speaking to the media after inspecting the Durgam Cheruvu, the Minister said that the lake would be developed as tourist spot by GHMC and Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation. He said that the suspension bridge would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 184 crore.
Another Rs. 20 crore will be spent to establish cycling and walking tracks around the lake. KT Rama Rao said the suspension bridge would permanently resolve the traffic problems on Road No. 45 of Jubilee Hills where several IT companies are located. GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Commissioner Dr B Janardhan Reddy and senior officials were also present during the inspection.
