High Court gives govt go ahead for inspections on pvt colleges
Justice P V Sanjay Kumar of the High Court at Hyderabad on Friday gave go-ahead to the Telangana State government with the inspection of private colleges.
Hyderabad: Justice P V Sanjay Kumar of the High Court at Hyderabad on Friday gave go-ahead to the Telangana State government with the inspection of private colleges.
The judge made it clear that the Vigilance officials would be permitted to visit the colleges and the enquiry would deal with the last academic year and not beyond in time.
The team should have one officer of the rank of an Inspector and not more than two police constables. The order came late in the afternoon after the government made an unsuccessful bid to have the adjudication shifted to a division bench.
State Additional Advocate General Ramachander Rao moved the division bench of acting Chief Justice Dilip Bhosale and Justice P Naveen Rao with a writ appeal.
Counsels
S Niranjan Reddy and S Sriram appearing for the private education institutions pointed out that there was no order by the judge except taking cognisance of the concession of the government and therefore the appeal was not maintainable.
