Hyderabad: The State government is all set to organise the Telangana State Formation Day on a grand scale on June 2. According to officials engaged in the preparation for celebrations, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao approved the events of day-long celebrations, including hoisting of India’s largest tricolour flag in the city. He directed the Ministers, MLAs and other people’s representatives to ensure participation of all section people in the celebrations.

Cultural programmes will be organised in all educational institutions, blood donation camps, distribution of clothes and fruits to poor and patients, illumination and flower decoration at all government offices important historical places are among other activities to be undertaken by the government.

Ahead of participating in the State formation day celebrations at Parade grounds, Chief Minister will pay floral tributes to Telangana martyrs at the Martyrs memorial and lay foundation stone for the another “T martyrs memorial” at Tank Bund. He would present mementoes and awards to the officials and people who excelled in their respective fields after delivering a speech at the function. KCR would hoist largest Indian flag at Sanjivayya park on the occasion.

State Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma instructed the district officials to ensure the huge participation of students, employees and other sections in the celebrations from village to state level.

Reviewing the arrangements being made for the celebrations at parade grounds with the officials, he said arrangements were also being made to telecast the programme live on televisions by State Information and Public Relations Department.

Traffic regulations, water supply to participants, emergency medical services, installation of mobile toilets and uninterrupted power supply would be provided at important venues.

All top officials from Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD), Energy, GHMC, HMDA, Roads and Buildings and Rural Development were present at the meeting.
