Hyderabad: Rajya Sabha member Devender Goud on Tuesday urged the Centre to help Telangana State government in dealing with the drought situation as the State is facing severe drought.
Raising the issue in Rajya Sabha, Goud pointed out that a total of 225 mandals were reeling under severe drought conditions and about 14 lakh people have migrated to other places, including neighbouring States for their livelihood, and requested the Centre to extend financial help to the newly created Telangana State to tide over the crisis.
