Karimnagar: The BJP organised a ‘mahadharna’ here on Monday to protest the TRS government’s alleged indifference to the prevailing drought. It took out a huge rally with thousands of farmers and party activists.

The rally culminated in a public meeting where the party leaders hit out at the administration. The protest programme enthused the BJP activists and managed to convey to the people the government’s negligence.

Addressing the meeting, Telangana BJP president K Laxman blasted the KCR administration accusing it of neglecting the dry spell and failing to take up welfare schemes during the last two years despite the Centre releasing funds.

He alleged that the government failed to solve people’s problems. Senior party leader and former MLA Yendala Lakshminarayana quipped that KCR was ‘not able to see the prevailing drought’.
