Prisoner’s escape; 3 cops suspended
Three AR head constables, responsible for the escape of an undertrial prisoner on Monday, were suspended from service here on Wednesday. Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu issued orders in this regard after the authorities found the three constables – E Linga Reddy, N Malla Reddy and D Anajaih, who were escorting Uppala Suri from a Nampally court to Central Prison in Warangal.

It may be mentioned here that Suri escaped while being brought to Warangal in an RTC bus. He stopped the bus on the pretext of attending nature’s call at Yashwantapur near Janagoan where he managed to escape fleeing across fields. Meanwhile, the police have intensified search operations by forming special teams to nab Suri, who was convicted of life imprisonment in a murder case that took place at Navipet in Nizamabad district in 2012.
