Medak: Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy on Sunday alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was behaving in an insane manner with respect to the formation of new districts.

Addressing TDP's Mini Mahanadu at Balaji Gardens in Ramachandrapuram of Medak district, Revanth Reddy alleged that the Chief Minister wanted to create a new district comprising of two Assembly segments.

He said that such an attempt was not practical and added that TDP would not remain silent if any injustice is done with respect to the formation of new districts.

Revanth Reddy also alleged that large-scale irregularities and corruption were evident during the execution of various projects in the State. He said that while the State government was imposing new conditions for distribution of pensions among poor, the Chief Minister did not impose any restrictions in sending his relatives to Assembly and Parliament.

Accusing the TRS government of forced land acquisition for projects, the TDP leader said that he would soon come out with specific details of involvement of the Chief Minister and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao in different scams. Referring to the recent gales that left a trial of devastation in Hyderabad, Revanth said that the Chief Minister aimed to make Hyderabad a global city but had come to a standstill with one gale that lashed the city for about 15 minutes.

Angry over the outbursts of Revanth, Telangana Advocates Joint Action Committee lodged a complaint against Revanth Reddy for making defamatory comments against the Chief Minister. Advocate K Goverdhan Reddy in his complaint submitted at the DGP office stated that on May 21 during Mini Mahanadu organised by TDP in Ranga Reddy district, Revanth Reddy had abused the Chief Minister.

“Revanth Reddy was encouraging public to slap the Chief Minister for taking the decision of dividing the State. Further, Revanth alleged that the Chief Minister is ruling the State in an autocratic manner and treating people as slaves,” the complainant mentioned.

Advocate Goverdhan said that the comments made by the MLA were derogative and requested the DGP to take necessary action against the MLA according to the law.
