Resident Commissioner Shashank Goel has appealed to Telugus of Delhi, Haryana, UP and Rajasthan to attend the programmes and celebrate the spirit of Telangana

The Resident Commissioner of the Telangana Bhavan, Shashank Goel, said on Thursday that the event would be celebrated as a festival of Telangana culture and Arts. The Commissioner had already convened two meetings in this regard with representatives of Telangana Associations here to fine tune the programmes.

The meeting attended by the Special Representatives of the Telangana State government in Delhi, S Venugopala Chari, and Ramachandru Tejawat, have decided to host a photo-exhibition, free medical camp and fruit distribution in hospitals during the day and a range of cultural programmes in the evening.

Competitions for children in elocution, quiz, and sports would also be held apart from magic shows and folk art forms. The administration is making elaborate arrangements to host representatives of various Embassies of Delhi, of State governments and Resident Commissioners of all States on the occasion.

Teaching Faculty of the universities from Telanagana, Research Scholars associations, Supreme Court Lawyers, members of the Joint Forum of Telangana Intellectuals and Telangana employees of various Central government establishments are showing keen interest in the celebrations.

Shashank Goel appealed to the Telugus of Delhi, Haryana, UP and Rajasthan to attend the programmes and celebrate the spirit of Telangana. The occasion would be used to give a distinct identity to the Telangana Bhavan and Telangana Culture, he said.
