Hyderabad: Alleging that the two years of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) rule did nothing for the people, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) vice-president Mallu Ravi said dictatorial rule had been going on in the State.

Speaking to the media here on Friday, Ravi said the TRS government had troubled media immediately after coming to power and suppressed the voice of the Opposition parties in the Legislative Assembly. He alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who said their agenda was Naxals’ agenda, obstructed a meeting of the Telangana Democratic Front held in Warangal a few days ago.

The government was installing surveillance cameras in universities while resorting to fake encounters immediately after coming to power. The TRS government was making the Opposition parties’ MLAs, MLCs and others public representatives to join the TRS by threatening them.

Alleging that the TRS government had raised curtains to the centralised corruption, Ravi said corruption had become the order of the day. The TRS government failed to implement the assurances made by the party before the elections, he alleged, saying that Chandrashekar Rao did not implement his assurance of making a Dalit as Chief Minister.
