The tribals of Phakir Tikia Thanda in Ghatkesar mandal on the city outskirts received LED lamps from Electronics Corporation of India Limited ( (Electronics Corporation of India Limited) as part of the latter’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on Friday.

Hyderabad: The tribals of Phakir Tikia Thanda in Ghatkesar mandal on the city outskirts received LED lamps from Electronics Corporation of India Limited ( (Electronics Corporation of India Limited) as part of the latter’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on Friday.

Chairman of Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) and Secretary Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) Dr Shekhar Basu was the chief guest. He praised ECIL’s contribution towards lending a helping hand to the under privileged sections of society. He was impressed with ECIL’s CSR efforts in providing physical infrastructure . Schools in Kamalanagar, Nagavaram, Rampally and Chiryal were recognised as the best schools by the State government.

Two girls, Anjali from ZPHS Nagavaram and Yasmin Khatoom from ZPHS Rampally narrated how their school’s infrastructure and computer education matched that of corporate Schools due to ECIL’s CSR activities. CMD of ECIL P Sudhakar, Chief Executive of NFC N Saibaba and Director of AMD Dr A K Rai were present.
