Elaborate arrangements for Telangana Day fete
As part of elaborate arrangements for the Telangana Formation Day celebrations to be held on June 2, the GHMC has taken up recarpeting works of 569 roads along with lane marking. The GHMC Commissioner said that Rs 1.21 crore had been sanctioned for the elaborate arrangements.

Lighting of main junctions with 400 watts MH colour, 500/1000 W Halogen lights, 38/64/120W par cans LED type, 200/CKT series lights are being arranged. Lanes are also being marked with radium studs for a bright look, besides painting of white enamel.
In the Greater Hyderabad limits, all major heritage structures and government buildings are being illuminated for a festive look. In all circle offices, wards, Residential Welfare Associations, Non Governmental Organisations, residents and local representatives are being involved for the celebration of State formation day.
The GHMC Commissioner has ordered the Circle and Zonal officers to hoist national flag on June 2, and has directed all the Deputy Commissioners and Zonal Commissioners to personally monitor the sanitation and other civic related issues.
