Mulug (Warangal): The bandh call given here on Tuesday seeking the formation of Mulug district was total and peaceful. The bandh was called to extend solidarity with the Mulug JAC chairman Nallela Kumaraswamy who on Monday launched and indefinite hunger strike demanding the creation of Mulug district.

All the business establishments, shops and government offices were closed for the day as the local traders and public along with people in the surrounding villages voluntarily took part in the bandh. The JAC leaders staged a dharna on the day. The TDP leader Seetakka joined agitation expressing solidarity.

Speaking to media persons Kumaraswamy and other JAC leaders have warned that the agitation for Mulug district would be intensified further if the state government fails to respond positively.
