No political meetings on OU campus: High Court

Justice C Kodandaram of the High Court at Hyderabad on Thursday directed the government and the Osmania University not to permit any political meetings or political party meetings at the University campus.

The judge made the interim orders in a writ petition filed by a student Osa Rahul who complained of nuisance at the campus due to such meetings. The petitioner pointed out that the university authorities have failed to stop such meetings by political parties.

MAK Mukheed, the counsel for the petitioner voiced concern of the student community stating inter alia that they were being disturbed by these meetings.
