DIG Hyderabad range Dr Akun Sabharwal directed the police personnel to pay special attention over safety and security measures to be taken at Pushkar ghats during Krishna Pushkarams, which will commence from August third week. District SP Prakash Reddy, ASP Gangaram and OSD Venkateswarlu welcomed him with bouquets. He was accorded police honour. Later addressing the police personnel at the meeting hall in the district police office here, he said accidents and mishaps could be minimized by identifying flaws at the accident spots in the district.
Expecting heavy rush to Pushkar ghats in Nalgonda as it is nearer to the State capital, the DIG told the officials to chalk out alternate arrangements for the VIPs to take holy dip in Krishna River, to avoid any untoward incidents. DSPs, CIs, SIs and DPO staff attended the meeting.
