Harish seeks Central funds for mandal-level godowns

New Delhi: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao called on Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh here on Monday. Harish Rao sought funds for construction of mandal-level godowns which required Rs 1,024 crore.
Radha Mohan Singh also asked Harish Rao to submit a separate proposal for the godowns that were to be located in Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes areas. The Centre was yet to release the balance of Rs 1,400 crore and it had only released Rs 791 crore so far, he added. The delegation would meet the officials on Tuesday to pursue the matters further.
