Warangal: The unity of people of Varikol village in Parkal Assembly constituency has attracted the attention of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

Without getting divided on political lines, the people gave their massive mandate to Telangana Rashtra Samithi candidate P Dayakar in Warangal Lok Sabha by-election last year for the all-round development of their village.
Impressed by the social maturity and political awareness shown by the villagers, the Chief Minister himself took the responsibility of developing Varikol as a model village in the State.

The TRS Government which sanctioned 400 double bedroom houses for each Assembly constituency in Telangana, doubled the allotment for Parkal and Varikol got half of the units. It is being developed on the lines of the villages adopted by the Chief Minister. The CCTV cameras at public places also figure in the basic infrastructure proposed in the village.

Speaking to The Hans India on Sunday, Kumaraswamy, a villager, hailed the Chief Minister for allotting 400 double bedroom houses for Varikol.

Another villager Pratap Reddy expressed his happiness over the utmost priority being accorded to Varikol in implementation of development works.

Vasudeva Reddy said people of Varikol have set an example for others that unity brings them
prosperity.

Parkal MLA Challa Dharma Reddy said “Varikol will soon become a model village in Telangana. Rural development cannot be achieved without unity and peace. I feel proud of Varikol, which lies in my Assembly constituency.
