Hyderabad: The stage is set for huge rally by the Telangana BJP as part of the nationwide programme ‘Vikas Parv’ to mark the completion of two years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government. BJP national president Amit Shah would be addressing a gathering of over 40,000 people.

The BJP president would arrive at Shamshabad airport at 2.30 pm on Friday and will drive to Suryapet in Nalgonda district. He would address a public meeting at Suryapet indoor stadium.

This is the second visit of Amit Shah to Telangana within a week. The party aims to strengthen its base in the state. During his previous visit, the party’s national president asked the workers to strive hard to make BJP a force to reckon with by 2019.

He wanted the party leaders to prepare an action plan for the next 1,000 days. The BJP leaders, including national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao and others inspected the venue on Thursday and reviewed the arrangements for the meeting.
