Bhupalpally Warangal: As many as 19 developments worth about Rs 100 crores were launched across six mandals of Bhupalpally assembly segment on Friday by five ministers and Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary.
The programme was undertaken marking Madhusudhana Chary’s completion of two years in the office.
Ministers T Harish Rao T Nageshwar Rao P Mahender Reddy P Srinivas Reddy and A Chandulal have attended the programmes at places like Shayampet Regonda Mogullapalli Chityal Ghanapuram and Bhupalpally.
Speaking on the occasion, Madhusudhana Chary said his two-year service in the Speaker’s office has given him immense satisfaction. He said he was able to maintain order in the house and conduct meaningful discussions on public issues.
He thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for his active and continuous support for the development of the constituency, which lacked progress during the past 25 years.
During the past two years, developmental works worth Rs 1,100 crores were grounded and under progress.
Irrigation Minister Harish Rao said the State government has been making dedicated efforts for all round development of the State with numerous developmental and welfare measures.
Transport Minister Mahender Reddy said it was planned to connectivity to 10, 400 villages. The TSRTC would be procuring nearly 280 new buses soon. A/c buses would be operated to Hyderabad from every assembly segment.
Agriculture Minister Srinivas Reddy said ample supply of subsidised seeds was made available for the farmers to cover nearly 1.5 crore acres. The bankers were asked not to trouble the farmers in renewing the crop loans.
The party workers have organised rallies along with artistes on the day. Legislators A Seetharam Naik, K Murali, A Ramesh, Ch Dharma Reddy B Shanker Naik E Dayakar Rao and B Venkateshwarlu Joint Collector Prashanth J Patil and others were present.
TDP leader lashes out at Speaker
TDP district president G Satyanarayana Rao has found fault with Speaker’s assertion that Rs 1,100 crores were spent on development of Bhupalpally constituency.
Speaking to press persons in Hanamkonda on Friday, he said the figures were made up and large scale corruption took place in spending the funds.
He challenged the Speaker to come for an open debate on the issue. The Speaker should clarify on the status of KTTP 800 MW third phase proposed at Bhupalpally, as the project was being shifted to Nalgonda district, he complained.
