Gutha Sukhender set to join TRS?
The stage is said to be set for Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy to join TRS within a couple of days. After holding direct discussions with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in two to three sittings, Gutha and his follower Miryalaguda MLA Bhaskar Rao are said to have decided to board the TRS car.
​Nalgonda: The stage is said to be set for Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy to join TRS within a couple of days. After holding direct discussions with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in two to three sittings, Gutha and his follower Miryalaguda MLA Bhaskar Rao are said to have decided to board the TRS car.
It is learnt that during the discussions, Gutha promised KCR that he would strengthen the TRS in the district using his wide network which he had developed when he was in the TDP and the Congress. But at the same time, he is learnt to have told KCR that he would resign as MP since he had won the seat on Congress symbol.
While it is still not clear whether Gutha will contest the byelections or not, speculations are rife that KCR may give him cabinet rank and make him an advisor to the government.
Political circles here do not rule out the possibility of sending Gutha to Legislative Council and induct him as a Minister. It is also being said that some more Congress leaders, including former Speaker KR Suresh Reddy and some others, are likely to quit Congress and join the TRS.
