Hyderabad: About 1.6 lakh candidates who are awaiting the Telangana Teachers Eligibility Test (TS TET) results are on tenterhooks due to the delay in the announcement of results. A candidate from Warangal, A Sagar, working as a teacher in a private school said that all his efforts to get a response from the helpline since June 3 have gone in vain.

The standard reply he gets is that the result would be declared in next two days. The TS TET 2016 exam was conducted on May 22 and the results were expected on June 2. The reason for the delay in announcing the results is attributed to the change in the process of conducting the exam.

In the past, the School Education Department used to conduct the teacher recruitment examination (DSE) but this year the government is planning to handover the responsibility of conducting the exam to State Public Service Commission. As a result, the government has asked the School Education Department to hold the TET results.

The results may be released once the government decides State Public Service Commission or School Education Department for conducting the exam. According to the sources, the department is waiting for the government’s green signal.
