New container train between Hyderabad-Chennai port flagged off

Hyderabad: A new container train circuit between Hyderabad and Chennai Port was flagged off from the container terminal, Thimmapur on Tuesday by Ravindra Gupta, General Manager of South Central Railway. This weekly train will facilitate the movement of export and import containers between Hyderabad and Chennai Port.

The new train service would cater to the needs of the Hyderabad market and the adjoining districts such as Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy, Medak, Warangal, Nalgonda and Guntur. Transport of industrial export commodities like bulk drug pharma, engineering / electronic goods, automobiles, textiles, processed foods etc, is expected to get a huge fillip.
