BUS FARE, POWER TARIFF HIKE

Hyderabad: Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman Dr J Geetha Reddy demanded the State government to withdraw the increased bus fares and power tariff immediately.

Speaking to the media here on Friday, Geetha Reddy alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who assured that he would not increase the bus fares, had forgotten his own assurance in this regard.

She alleged that the TRS government burdened the poor and middle class people by increasing power and RTC charges. She warned that Congress would prepare an action plan along with other political parties in case the government failed to withdraw the increased fares.
