Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao has flayed the State BJP and TDP leaders alleging that they were making unnecessary noise over irrigation projects in the state.

Speaking to the media at Telangana Bhavan here on Sunday, Jupally alleged that BJP senior leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy and TDP Telangana State chief Revanth Reddy were indulging in blackmail politics and deceiving the people.

Both were hatching conspiracies with political motives and obstructing the irrigation projects. The present situation of the government having to spend crores of rupees would not have arisen if the previous governments had constructed the projects, he said.

“But despite the Opposition’s obstructions, the government will construct the projects at any cost and the people will see the game-plan of these leaders and teach them a fitting lesson,” he asserted.

Jupally said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao brought out the GO No.123 to assist the farmers whose land was acquired and was offering them open estimates.

The Chief Minister was striving to make the Palamuru district a green one by providing water for 18 lakh acres in the district. The Chief Minister’s aim was to transform Palamuru district as Konaseema, the Minister said.

The TRS government was giving compensation which no other government in the country had offered, he said, alleging that the previous governments had not given compensation till now.
